FRESHWATER PEARLS

Freshwater pearls are found in rivers and lakes in China. Due to their mass production, freshwater pearls are also popular for their affordable price points.

Sizes typically range from 5mm to 10mm, though they are often available in larger sizes up to 13mm.

JAPANESE AKOYA PEARLS

Akoya pearls are one of the world's best-known pearl.

They are often very spherical in shape with a very high lustre. Produced by a small oyster called the Pinctada Fucata in the seas of Japan and China, they are commonly found in sizes ranging from 2mm to 10mm in size. These beautiful pearls are commonly worn by brides as a symbol of beauty and purity on their wedding day.

TAHITIAN PEARLS

Tahitian pearls, are also referred to as black pearls or simply black pearls. Their mirror-like lustre, their variety of different colours have made them one of the favourites, whereas other pearl types generally come in one colour.

Tahitian pearls consist of a multitude of tones with incredibly exuberant colours such as lilac, peacock green, silver green, blue, and eggplant, to name just a few.

These pearls are produced by the Pinctada Margaritifera oyster, which is found exclusively in Tahiti and several other French Polynesian islands.

WHITE & GOLDEN PEARLS

White & Golden pearls are renowned for their classic colour as well as their exceptional sizes. This variety of pearl is produced by the Pinctada Maxima oyster, found in very deep waters offshore.

White pearls are mostly found off Australian shores and are creamy white in colour with a silver tone. High quality Golden pearls are mostly found in the Philippines and come in a wide variation of shades of light to dark golden colours.
